His career promotions began in the early 80s as one of the original members of the rap group the “Original Harlem World Crew” going by the name of “MC Charlie Rock.  He found himself surrounded by many of today’s Hip Hop Moguls like: Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell,Kurtis Blow, Kool Moe Dee, New Edition, Ice T, and many more long before their present notability. It was during this time that he learned and honed his knowledge of the promotions and entertainment industry.

Charles played a key role in the formation of now Platinum recording artists Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick and Force MDS.

Shortly afterward, he landed a partnership with Ray Chandler , who was then the manager of famed rap group Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5. Togerther they founded Heart & Soul Productions and built it up to be one of top concert promotion companies in New York and he still has the same gritty desire to work hard and serve people.

To date he volunteers his services 2 to 3 times a year to Body Sculpt of New York Children's Health and Fitness Expo which produces sports clinics, walkathon, and health and fitness workshops.  The Expo focuses on concerns of child obesity, healthy eating, general nutrition, education, and unity of the entire family unit. 

Charles connects with Youth and young adults to share his knowledge and experience in promotion entrepreneurship. He stresses dedication, and the importance of serving others.  This has always been a true passion and way of life for him.  His ultimate goal is to take all that he has learned to the next level and continue to serve youths, and their families, in communities around the country.
